The Five Paws Team
Field Manager
Jason joined Five Paws nearly 4yrs ago and has become a huge part of our team! Aside from his years of experience with us, he has a number of animals since childhood including cats, dogs, birds and even reptiles. Right now he’s a pet parent to a former shelter pup and a kitty he found and nursed back to health off the street.
Faith is from the Poconos area in PA. She grew up with all types of animals including dogs, cats, reptiles, birds (and the list goes on!) She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science at West Chester University and is currently obtaining her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy.
Since she’s unable to have her own animals right now, becoming a pet sitter has brought a tremendous amount of joy back into her life. Faith feels it is important to have a loving, trustworthy individual taking care of another person’s loved one, whether that is their family member or pet. She enjoys connecting and providing well deserved love and attention to the pets she interacts with and establishing trust with their families.
She can’t wait to graduate and be able to find a place that allows pets so that she is able to foster or rescue!
Drew grew up in Berwyn in an early 1700's stone house. His father was an Agronomy Major at Penn State so they had horses, ponies, goats, rabbits, pet pigeons, dogs, cats, and probably more animals than we could fit on this page. Needless to say, he’s been an avid animal lover his entire life. Drew’s most recent pups include a Lab and a rottweiler. He’s planning on bringing another dog into his life again soon. He grew up in an athletic family and played baseball as a kid before moving on to tennis, golf and football. He taught tennis at Arthur Ashe and previously worked at the Philadelphia Stock Exchange! Now he does the Accounting for a friend who owns a large medical practice in the area and really loves working for Five Paws and taking care of all of our Five Paws furry family.
Melinda has been involved with animal rescue for about 25 years. When she started her main focus was geriatric and hospice care for dogs. Eventually, she flipped to the other side of the spectrum, bottle feeding kittens. And of course, everything in between over the years. After 35+ years in corporate America, she was tired and not feeling very fulfilled. So she decided to make a drastic life change - for the better! She left it all and she has now been dog walking and pet sitting for Five Paws for over a year! She says she absolutely loves it and wouldn't change a thing!
Emily has been a star Five Paws sitter for about 6 years now! She is an integral member of our team here. She will tell you that she absolutely loves the time she get to spend with her furry friends! She has 3 dogs of her own and loves all animals. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, music, and art.
Donna hails from Media, PA and has been a sitter with Five Paws for 5 years! She is the proud mom of two human children, Brandon (19) and Kristianna (17), and three fur babies of the feline persuasion: Bridget and Chaplain, and Henry. During her quarantine time in the beginning of the pandemic, she fostered a number of kittens through Forgotten Cats (Henry was a foster-fail!). In addition to being a pet sitter with Five Paws, Donna has also owned a dance studio in Delaware County for 27 years. She is a graduate of Gettysburg College, with a BA in English Literature and Classics.
Eileen grew up in Havertown and has lived in the Media/Middletown area for 30 yrs. She attended local colleges and earned her Ph. D. in nursing. She taught nursing for many years but eventually decided she wanted to spend more of her time with animals, outdoors and walking, three of her favorite things. Petsitting so far has proven to be the perfect job!
Maddie grew up with dogs and always loved all animals and just want to be surrounded by animals all the time. She is super passionate about animals. She wants to make sure they receive the best care and treat them as if they were her own. She currently has a shih tzu named Ellie and a cat named Fiona. Ellie will be turning 3 in May and Fiona will be turning 2 in May. Most of her free time is spent with Ellie and Fiona and she also loves to read and write. She currently runs her own blog where she posts her own poetry and also book reviews.
