Meet Keith

Keith is originally from Pittsburgh, PA.  He moved to the Philadelphia area in 1980 with his family.

Keith was raised with the mentality that you should help others because you never know when you may be walking in their shoes. From this, he chose to volunteer with many different organizations through the years. Among them were the Mid County Senior Services of Delaware county, Aid for Friends, Francisville Animal shelter, and JoJo the Gray bird rescue. He’s even worked with the ASPCA on seizures from houses where animals had to be removed. He was responsible to help remove the birds and rehome them.

Additionally, he volunteered to bring cats, dogs and my parrots into nursing homes to do outreach for the residents. He found the residents there were so happy to see animals since many of them had animals previously but could no longer have them. The visits were very special for them and for Keith.

Keith extended his care to pets of his own. Throughout his life all of my dogs, birds and cats have been rescued. As Keith says “there is no other way I would have it since there are so many animals that need homes”. He always does his best to promote rescue to all my friends and family. He retired about a year ago and was looking for something to do when he saw an opportunity to work for Five Paws. He thought it would be the perfect fit. As he guessed, the job has been a great for him! It’s a job where he can give excellent care to others pets that he works with daily and their owners can be confident about the care their pets receive. His philosophy is: "When I'm in your house I care for your pets like their mine".
